Leonid Leonidovich FEDOROV
Col (Retd.) Leonid Leonidovich FEDOROV, DOB 31.08.1924, was born in Ufa. During 02.1942-08.1942 he joined a 6-month course at the Krasnokholmsky Infantry Academy (near Orenburg) designed for machine-gun platoon commanders, and was commissioned lieutenant in the Ural military district infantry units. From February 1944 to May 1945, he was deployed on the 1st and 2nd Ukrainian fronts as a platoon commander and then a company commander of the 50th infantry division. After the war he joined the Military Law Academy and was posted to the Military Prosecutor's offices at various naval bases conducting investigative and prosecutorial duties. He was awarded three orders of the Patriotic War and medals. He retired from the military service in Sept.1974. Colonel (Retd.). The author of the memoirs "Notes of a machine-gunner and a lawyer". Chairman of the Veterans Board of the 50th infantry division.
