Anatolii Pavlovich ZHIVOV

    Anatolii Pavlovich ZHIVOV, DOB 01.06.1925. He has been deployed since December 1943 in the 259th Rifles Division, lance corporal. He joined his infantry unit at Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, and out of 400-soldier battalion only 15 soldiers survived by the end of the war. His unit took part in two assault river crossings of South Bug, Dniester and the liberation of Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria.  He retired from the Army in 1950.  He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War and Medal “For the Combat deeds”.
