Assessing the Allies’ military supplies, the Minister (the People's Commissar) for Foreign Trade of the USSR and Co-Chairman of the Lend-Lease Commission, A.I. Mikoyan, noted that during the Great Patriotic War "we received about 400,000 first-rate cars for their time such as "Studebaker", "Ford", “Willys Jeep" and amphibious vehicles.       When in early March 2018 the preparations began for the Great Patriotic War veterans to go to Great Britain for the Victory Day celebrations, everything was against us: a historic low in Russian-British relations, the complicated procedure for obtaining visas, the lack of funds for the trip, and, finally, the health of our veterans.
